Light of Truth Center, Inc., 3c Recovery Support Training Institute, and Dolan Research International Awarded Major State Grant to Strengthen Peer Recovery Workforce Across Maryland
Baltimore, MD – Light of Truth Center, Inc., in collaboration with 3C Recovery Support Training Institute and Dolan Research International, LLC, has been awarded a transformative grant under the Peer Workforce Training Initiative by the Maryland Behavioral Health Administration (BHA). This initiative will significantly expand training opportunities for Peer Recovery Specialists (PRS) and Certified Peer Recovery Specialists (CPRS), solidifying the collaboration as a leading force in behavioral health training across the state.
The initiative focuses on enhancing the PRS/CPRS workforce by delivering specialized training in core peer support competencies, the five peer support domains—Advocacy, Ethical Considerations, Mentoring and Education, Harm Reduction, and Recovery and Wellness—as well as professional and ethical skills critical to success in hospitals, treatment programs, and court systems. The new partnership is expected to reach hundreds of peer specialists across Maryland, equipping them with tools to deliver high-quality, person-centered recovery services.
“At Dolan Research International, we are thrilled to collaborate with the Light of Truth Center and 3C Recovery Support Training Institute on this important project,” said Johanna M. Dolan, CEO of Dolan Research International, LLC. “We are strengthening Maryland’s peer recovery workforce and expanding access to high-quality recovery support services in all parts of our great state. When organizations come together with shared purpose and vision, we advance recovery outcomes and create a stronger, more resilient care system for the people of Maryland.”
This collaboration marks a significant milestone in behavioral health workforce development and is a powerful example of what’s possible when purpose-driven organizations unite.
